Submissions for the Pano Awards 2017
For reasons that I'll chat about in a later post I seem to have this love for wide landscapes. When I started my photography journey all those years ago when I had almost no idea what I was doing my first instinct was to shoot long and wide.
My panorama's these days are more like cropped panoramas rather than stitched, but still the visual affect is almost the same.
In 2016 I entered three images into the awards, with only one just scrapping in for a bronze award. This year I am going to be entering 9 photos of all different locations, styles, and compositions. This isn't a numbers game, that is I am not entering more hoping that more will get an award, I am purely entering more because these are real images that I truly love, some even I have not published to social media because I still enjoy them. Over the last 12 months I have grown as a photographer, adapted my own style, become more comfortable and more confident in my ability to not only photography but process my photography.
This year I am not going to enter every competition, just a handful of meaningful ones. The Panoawards is one I am passionate about as widescreen is just how I like to shoot.
